I explore hybridism between drawing and painting. Using a graphite pencil, I draw directly into wet oil paint on paper or linen, as they set together, the marks are fixed at once, collapsing the distinction between the two.

Each piece begins with a specific source and is abstracted through the process. Colour stays linked to its origin, but the final image stands as its own hybrid form.
