I explore hybridism between drawing and painting. Using a graphite pencil, I draw directly into wet oil paint on paper or linen, mixing the control of drawing with the fluid mess of paint. This collision creates surfaces where the two mediums push and pull against each other.

I don’t stick to one subject. Each piece starts with something specific and gets abstracted through the process. Color stays linked to the original source, but the final image becomes its own hybrid work.
